Baby Dresser: Before and After

Before
Remember this dresser? I was asked/ volunteered to refinish it for dear friends. They are going to use in their baby boy's nursery.
Step One: Sanding. The dresser had a good shine on it. I had to sand the shine off so the paint would stick to the wood.

Step two: Priming. Primer is worth your time and money. Primer provides a good base coat and bonding agent

Step three: Painting. I painted the dresser 3 different times. It's important to let each coat dry before applying the next one.

Step four. Spray. Spray the hardware with your choice of metallic paint. I chose silver to coordinate with the other nursery furnishings.

Step Five: Admire. Once you put the finishing touches on the piece, take a step back and admire your hard work.

I have finally finished this bad boy!! It was a fun project but took alot more time than I had anticipated. Defiantly worth it in the end. The dresser turned out great! The owners of the piece, gave me four thumbs up.
